Having launched The Frame and The Serif televisions in recent years, Samsung has expanded its range of lifestyle televisions in India with the launch of The Sero, a unique rotating television that the company claims is this “That world’s first mobile-optimized TV.” This device, which was originally unveiled during CES 2020 in January, appears with a 43-inch 4K QLED panel that can be rotated between landscape and portrait orientations based on whether the video being played was recorded in landscape or portrait mode.
“Sero”, which means “portrait” in Korean, should be named for its ability to rotate between landscape and portrait orientations, just as a user would with their smartphone or tablet. It is optimized for social media content and is aimed at “a younger generation of social media with an interest in seeing experiences like those found on their mobile devices,” that company told during official reporter publicity.
According to Samsung, the screen will rotate automatically based on the orientation of the video, but it can also be rotated manually with the remote control, voice command, and via the SmartThings app. When in portrait mode, the TV also allows users to choose from several stylish vertical backgrounds, while the Ambient + mode functionality allows users to display useful information or blend the TV into its surroundings.
In terms of smart features, the Sero comes with Adaptive Image, Responsive User Interface, Tap View Technology, Active Voice Amplifier (AVA), etc. experience, whether it’s a streaming song, mirroring smartphone content and scrolling by their social media, or watching their favorite shows. “
The Samsung Sero is priced at Rs. 124,990, also will be available particularly at Reliance Digital stores. Introductory offers include benefits like a 5% cashback, with EMI starting at just Rs. 1,190. Reliance Digital is also offering AJIO and Reliance Trends gift vouchers through November 16 as part of its ongoing “Festival of Electronics” sale.
