Well, little seems to have shifted gears, as it will announce not one, but two new smartphones in the coming weeks. First, Poco will launch this Poco F3 GT in India on July 23. Then, it will launch another GT-branded device, the Poco X3 GT, in Malaysia on July 28. The Poco X3 GT will be the successor to the Poco X3, which the company released to the global market earlier this year.
This Chinese giant recently visited its official Facebook page to announce the release date of the Poco X3 GT, along with a teaser image. According to the teaser, Poco will be live streaming the event on Facebook on July 28 at 8 p.m. local time (5:30 p.m. IST).
Poco X3 GT: key specs and features (rumored)
Arriving on the device, the Poco X3 GT will supposedly be a renowned Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G (China version), which Xiaomi released earlier this year. That means you’ll get a 6.6-inch Full HD + IPS LCD panel with support for a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sample rate. This device will include a 16MP punch hole selfie camera.
Under this hood, the Poco X3 GT will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1100 chipset, which is a 5G compatible octa-core processor based on this 6nm architecture. Poco X3 GT appears with an integrated ARM Mali-G77 GPU, up to 8GB of RAM, also up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
Directing our attention to the rear, the device will feature a triple camera setup. It will include a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP sensor for macro shots.
There will be a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 67 W fast charging inside the device. Additionally, the X3 GT will feature a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, dual high-resolution JBL-branded stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. It will run MIUI for Poco based on Android 11 out of the box.
Price and availability (expected)
Regarding the price, there is no official information available as of now. However, as the Redmi Note Pro starts at CNY 1,699 (~ Rs 19,600) in China, we can expect the Poco X3 GT to be similarly priced in Malaysia. There is no word on whether Poco will bring the device to India or any other market in the future.
