Samsung announced that Galaxy Fit 2 in its “Life Unstoppable” virtual event in September also brought this fitness tracker to India in October. The organization is presently rolling out a new software update to the Galaxy Fit 2 that arrives with some much-needed bug fixes also improvements.
According to Tizen Help, the update build number is R220XXU1ATK5 and it is 0.7MB in size. It is now rolling out for Galaxy Fit 2 devices in India. After installing this update, the fitness band will no longer take you to the watch if the screen turns off in the timer mode. Additionally, the update optimizes motion recognition when you stop or resume exercises and stops vibration notifications during exercises.
Another improvement in this update is the duration of the alarm vibration. In the future, the alarm will last longer, which in turn increases the chances that users will be awakened by the vibration. However, this could slightly affect the overall battery life of the device. Take a look at the official changelog below:
- Fixed switching to clock display after the screen turns off during timer operation.
- While pausing/resuming exercise, action recognition is optimized and vibration information is removed.
- The vibration time of the alarm is now longer.
- Greater system stability and reliability
If you own a Galaxy Fit 2, you can install this update from this Galaxy Wearable app. All you have to do is open the application and go to “Band Software Update”. We could expect Samsung to grow the availability of this update to different regions in the coming weeks.
