Well, at launch, Xiaomi announced that this Mi 11 series will be one of the first to help this flagship chipset. And today, Xiaomi keeps its promise with the announcement of the launch date of the Mi 11 series.
Mi 11 series: release date
In an official Weibo post, Xiaomi co-founder and CEO Lei Jun revealed that the Mi 11 series will be unveiled on December 28. The rumors were true, as the company doesn’t wait until 2021 to introduce its flagship line. The Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro will be the world’s first smartphones with the Snapdragon 888 chipset.

Xiaomi has also created a dedicated landing page for the Mi 11 series on its Chinese website. But it doesn’t reveal anything about the upcoming devices.
Mi 11 Series: Rumored Specifications
Not much is known about the Mi 11 series at this time. We expect the company to present two models, Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro, like last year. One of them is rumored to be codenamed M2011K2C. Leaks in recent months have exposed the design and some of the key specifications. This is what the Mi 11 would look like, according to leaks on Weibo.
The folks at XDA Developers revealed that the Mi 11 Pro will arrive with a 6.67-inch QHD + screen with a resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz / 144Hz. The screen is slightly larger than its predecessor. The Vanilla Mi 11 is even expected to arrive with a QHD + dual-curved display. Both models will feature a punch-hole selfie camera and possibly a 108MP main camera on the rear.
Both models will be equipped with the Snapdragon 888 5G chipset. This is the only thing confirmed so far. However, we can expect Xiaomi to share more details, as well as an official look, of the flagship device on social media in the days leading up to launch.
